interestingly enough, the satellite image of the house craig and i stayed at over the summer in albuquerque was taken when we were actually living in the house... you can distinctly see craig's cars sitting in the driveway.
Check out Amazon's Keyhole software, it lets you see the whole world like this, zooming from place to place.
I've used it for things on my blog. The trial is free, its like $25 a year. Your grandpa gave me a subscription for xmas. Basically same data as the free stuff, but the interface is cooler and you can screen capture movies of tours, look at things from side angles, etc.
